Joining the Organization

To join the GitHub organization, follow the steps below.

1. Prepare Your GitHub Account

  • Create or confirm your GitHub account.

Two-Factor Authentication Required

You must enable 2FA on your GitHub account before requesting access.

2. Email the Organization Owner

Send an email to:

Niloy Saha
n6saha@uwaterloo.ca

Include:

  • Your full name
  • Your UW username (for Teams access)
  • Your GitHub username

You will be added to:

  • The GitHub organization
  • The Teams workspace

Invitations are typically processed within 1–2 business days.

3. Accept the GitHub Invitation

You will receive an email invitation from GitHub.
Accept the invitation to complete onboarding.
