Access Requests

All organization members have read access to every repository.

Write, maintain, or admin permissions must be granted explicitly.

When to Request Access

Request elevated access if:

  • You need to push changes to a repository you did not create.
  • You are responsible for maintaining a project.
  • You require administrative permissions for operational reasons.

How to Request Access (Preferred Method)

For write, maintain, or admin access:

  1. Open an issue in this repository titled:

Access request: your-github-username

  1. Include:
  2. Repository name(s)
  3. Requested permission level (Write / Maintain / Admin)
  4. Brief justification

An Organization Owner or repository Maintainer will review the request.

Use this issue-based process for all non-urgent access changes.

Organization Owner

Access permissions are managed by the Organization Owner.
